The Ten Joe Lewis Combat Sequences —
The Thirty Eight, Benny Briscoe, Shotgun, Matador, Machine Gun, The Tyson, The Snapback, Brown Bomber, The Mongoose, and The Undulator — were designed to teach different fighting styles, tactical concepts, and combat strategies.

Each sequence develops a specific approach to fighting. For example, “The Tyson” is built around the aggressive pressure, head movement, and explosive punching style associated with Mike Tyson. “The Thirty Eight” focuses on devastating body attacks, based on Joe Lewis’s philosophy that effective body shots are like a .38 pistol — small impact going in, but tremendous damage coming out.

Together, these sequences create a complete system of offensive strategy, timing, power, movement, and fight intelligence developed from Joe Lewis’s championship fighting principles.
