My name is Jim Graden
Jim Graden is a highly respected Master Martial Artist with a celebrated career in martial arts, fitness and community service. As a five-time member of the United States Karate Team and a competitor in two World Kickboxing Championships, his achievements include winning Silver Medals in London (1985) and Munich (1987), as well as earning a Professional World Kickboxing title in Palermo, Sicily, in 1991.
A protégé of the legendary Joe Lewis—who trained with Bruce Lee and is widely regarded as one of the greatest martial artists of the 20th century—Jim holds a 7th-degree black belt and is one of only ten people ever promoted to the master's rank by Joe Lewis before his passing in 2012.
Throughout his career, Jim Graden has trained National and World Martial Arts Champions and provided defensive and de-escalation training to military personnel, law enforcement and fortune 500 companies. He has operated multiple successful martial arts and fitness studios over his 40+ year career, including Florida Karate Academy, World Champion Karate, The Cardio Karate Center, MA Fitness, and World Champion Martial Arts.
Jim was also president of the National Children’s Charity called the Project Action Foundation for 15 years. Project Action, created in 1996, is dedicated to helping at risk children. Project action gave scholarships to thousands of at-risk youths across the nation into already established mentoring facilities of Martial arts, Dance and Gymnastics studios. Project Action won the 1997 Governors award for the best new Children’s charity in the state of Florida. Jim Graden was also named to the Juvenile Justice advisory board and served there for over 12 years and under three governors, Republican and Democrat.
